Do you want to help non-profit organizations win cars? Well, now is your chance.
Toyota is in the midst of running a very large social media campaign known as "100 Cars for Good". Earlier this year, Toyota used "an independent panel of judges who are experts in the fields of philanthropy and corporate social responsibility" to select 500 non-profit organizations from around the U.S. to be included in this program. From May 6th through August 16th (100 days), Toyota is leaving it to their Facebook Fans to vote for one organization to receive a car each day. The non-profit with the most votes by the end of the day is announced the winner and is allowed to choose which vehicle they would like to take home; either a Toyota Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Highlander Hybrid, Sienna, or Sienna Mobility. Even though one non-profit organization wins a car, the other non-profits in the running that day do not end up empty handed. The competing non-profit groups each receive $1000 towards their efforts. There is a wide representation of non-profit organizations included in this campaign such as humane societies, disease awareness foundations, food banks, housing services, churches, relief efforts and much, much more.
So please, head over to the Toyota Facebook Fan Page and click on the 100 Cars for Good application. Read through the information and bios of the non-profits organizations featured each day before you cast your vote. You are permitted one vote per day, so help make a difference in the lives of others from now until August 16th!
Also available from the Toyota Facebook Page and 100 Cars for Good application is a list of all 500 non-profit organizations as well as a complete list of winners thus far.
